Next, psychosis also indicates someone has delusional beliefs, which can be even broader than hallucinations. Because of this, incoherent speech is an associated symptom as well. Still, it will seem incredibly real to them - it's not unusual for someone who is currently in a psychotic episode to try to interact with these hallucinations, such as talking and responding to the things the hallucinated being might say or do.
